Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Extended

The Packs Galore contest was due to end in a few hours but i have come to the decision to extend it. The contest has been uber successful and i thank everyone that has entered and under normal circumstances it would close on time.

However a number of issues have arisen including my exams which weren't set when the contest were launched, a mess up on the countdown timer and ~Sinister-Starfeesh currently being offline and i feel it unfair to close the contest now only for everyone to have to wait a week for the results.

Therefore the new deadline is: Sunday 16th May @ 11.59PM UK time

If anyone was considering entering i hope this also gives you a lil more time as i know a couple of people are half way through making a pack.

It is my pleasure to announce a brand new contest to the emote community. #Pack-it-in and #dAmn-Emotes have combined forces to form a unique contest known as Packs Galore

Many emote contests require you to make a single emote on a certain theme, but for this contest we would like you to think outside the box and approach the contest from a different angle. Instead of making a specific emote, this contest is all about packs

Packs (groups of emotes submitted in a single downloadable file) are often overlooked in the emote community but they can be an awesome resource to brighten up many websites, IMs and chatrooms. It is from this idea that the contest has been born.

Rules

All emotes in the pack must be made by yourself

The pack must be brand new to dA, submitted after 2nd April 2010

Emotes within the pack can be animated or static or a mixture of the two

You can enter a total of 3 packs into the contest

The contest closes on 10th May at 11.59 UK time

The pack must consist of only 12 emoticons

The pack must contain the following expressions:

- Happy
- Sad
- Angry
- Frightened
- Excited
- Shocked
- In love
- Paranoid
- An additional 4 emotes of your own choice

All emotes should have a body size no greater than 16x16 pixels and a canvas size no greater than 50 pixels wide x 25 pixels high.

Individual emotes within the pack saved as either a .png or .gif

The pack should be saved either as a .zip or .rar

How to submit

Submitting an entry is very easy. Simply follow these instructions:

Submit the deviation into the customizations > icons > emoticons > packs and large format category

State in the artists comments the pack is an entry for the ‘Pack Galore’ contest

Submit the pack as a gallery submission to #Pack-it-in group within the Packs Galore Entries folder

Please be aware your pack will require a preview image. This image should contain an image of each emote contained. In the case you have included animated emotes a static version in the preview is suitable
